I do not see him every day, nor do we share words or hugs. He is keeping a promise he made to me, as well as checking in to reassure me that he is fine. My angel is my beloved late father.   Prior to his death, he and I made a pact. He had been tragically ill for six years, but he cheated death many, many times during those horrid years. I asked him if we could make a deal that whichever one of us died first, the other would receive a sign, if possible, that he/she was okay. He said yes. Here is our week 2 winner!  Congratulations Nicole Davis! ************************************************************************************************************** There has been an angel in my life for the past 25 years.  She's my best friend.  We first met in 4th grade, back then times were a bit tougher for us because I was the "new girl" in school even though everyone there knew me, I had spent the past two years in a private school.  Most everyone else shunned me because they felt that I was a snob & invading their space.  No one really wanted to reach out to me as the new girl OR as the daughter of a pretty strict teacher that had quite the reputation in our small town.  Becky never was one to stay "inside the box" and she reached out to me.  We made fast friends.  We made it through the "hard times" of pre-pubescence and when we were in 9th grade her family moved to Texas from our small town in Alabama.  In 1989 Texas was a WORLD aw

From Naples, Italy in 1898, the Corbo Family has been selling and servicing fine jewelry for their many friends and customers. At the turn of the century Alfonso Corbo took his wife and eight children from their home in Naples to America, settling in Newark NJ. A watchmaker by trade, Alfonso went door-to-door selling his wares and skills to start the tradition of Corbo Jewelers in America. Six of Alfonso's eight children continued the tradition. Sons Mike, Dick, and Nick chose different parts of Bergen, Passaic , and Essex counties- going door-to-door and selling their wares and making friends along the way. In 1918 the daughters; Julia, Mae, and Pep opened the first store on Warren ST. in Newark, later moving to Bloomfield in 1945. In 1950, Michael's son Alan joined Corbo Jewelers, and they opened their second store in Clifton. During the 60's and 70's, Alan's brothers, Tony and Mike Jr., came aboard and Corbo Jewelers continued to grow. Stores
